Directions to Isle Communications Group [ Doncaster ]

There are two main approaches - coming from the East or from the North, South and West.

1. Directions to Isle Doncaster From: Scunthorpe / Grimsby / Hull / East

  1. Pick up M18 towards Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield and south
  2. Exit J4, A630, signed Doncaster
  3. Go straight over 2 roundabouts at about half mile intervals, signed Doncaster, still on A630
  4. After about another mile, straight across another roundabout, but picking up the A18 signed Doncaster. Keep the Sainsbury’s Superstore on your left
  5. After about a quarter of a mile, straight across another roundabout, signed Bawtry A18 (A638), Rotherham A630 and Motorway A1(M).
  6. Pass Dixon's Rover dealership on your left. Next roundabout, take the second exit, slightly to the right, following the 7.5 tons limit sign. Coming off the roundabout pick up the Town Centre, Infirmary and Wheatley Hills sign
  7. Continue for about a mile to major traffic lights outside Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Go straight on, following the Town Centre sign
  8. Continue for three quarters of a mile or so until you see a church with a green spire on your right. Immediately after this is a mini roundabout - go straight across, signed Racecourse and Hexthorpe, but keep in the left hand lane.
  9. At the traffic lights (100 yards ahead) turn left, signed Racecourse.
  10. The Regent Hotel is immediately on your left, followed by Regent Square, British Coal Data Offices and a big old (empty) office block set back from the road.
  11. Immediately after this is Regent Terrace. Isle is no. 1, which is the first one you come to from that direction.

Parking:
Go past Regent Terrace (half a dozen terraced offices) and turn sharp left onto Town Fields, and then left again so you are coming back behind the offices of Regent Terrace. Go as far as you can, and turn left into the last car park.

Alternatively, parking on the road at the front is permitted for up to two hours if there is a vacant spot.

2. Directions to Isle Doncaster From: North (Leeds etc) / South (Sheffield, Nottingham etc) / West (Manchester etc)

  1. Pick up M18 from M1 or A1(M), depending on where you are traveling from (turn right onto M18 from A1(M) south, left from A1(M) north. From M1 south M18 exit is J32.
  2. From M18 exit J3, A6182, signed Doncaster
  3. After about half a mile, go over the “Welcome to Doncaster” roundabout and continue on A6182 Doncaster on White Rose Way
  4. Go left at the next roundabout after about another half mile, still on A6182. Keep the Yorkshire Retail Outlet on your right
  5. Travel for another three quarters of a mile or so and go straight over the next roundabout, still on White Rose Way, and past Doncaster / South Yorkshire Business Link on your left
  6. At the next roundabout (3 or 400 yards, up the incline), turn right, signed A631 Bawtry, A18 Thorne / Scunthorpe
  7. Travel for about 1 mile along Carr House Road and at the next roundabout, turn left, signed locally town centre (Doncaster Racecourse is diagonally to your right)
  8. Travel along Bennetthorpe, go past the Earl of Doncaster Hotel after about a third of a mile on your left, go over the zebra crossing, up the slight hill, and look out for a school (children crossing) sign on your left. On your right after the next road on the right (Town Fields) is Regent Terrace, set slightly back from the main road. Isle is no. 1, ie the far end from the direction in which you are traveling

Parking
Turn right just after the school sign onto Town Fields (cul-de-sac), then sharp left after 50 yards so that you are traveling behind the offices of Regent Terrace. Go as far as you can, and turn sharp left, which is the car park of 1 Regent Terrace, signed on the wall which will be in front of you.
